of the Cultural Society ILIOSTASIO.
The Cultural Society ILIOSTASIO is an association that aims to cultivate and disseminate the work of the poet Iason Depountis (1919-2008).
ILIOSTASIO also endeavours to promote cultural and scientific projects which, in the spirit of Ι. Depountis' conception of culture, are qualitatively outstanding and humanistically characterised.
ILIOSTASIO means solstice – a term that runs like a thread through the work of Iason Depountis.
In collaboration with the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corfu, the Cultural Society ILIOSTASIO is organising the exhibition “IASON DEPOUNTIS – DUE TO YOU, POETRY, TROY IS STILL BURNING”, which will be on display in the Old Fortress of Corfu from 10 July to 30 September 2024.
